Sue Fairless Honored
Beta Upsilon Chapter – Region 1
On September 10, 2022, Sue Fairless, member of the Beta Upsilon Chapter for many years, was honored by her family with a “Sue Fairless Professional Development and Continuing Education” grant-in-aid for the chapter.
Dr. Kimberly Williamson, her daughter and member of Delta Xi Chapter, attended the Beta Upsilon meeting and presented a check and grant in honor of her mother. Dr. Williamson commented that her “mother supports the first purpose of DKG – to unite women educators together.” This honor was in celebration of Sue’s birthday and her dedication to education. Sue served as Beta Upsilon president from 2000-2002. She is from Bertie County and taught in the Hertford County and Bertie County schools. She served as the Elementary Reading Coordinator and later as Assistant Superintendent of Instruction. Sue is retired and continues to encourage and support other educators. Beta Upsilon is fortunate to have her leadership and guidance. |
